There’s just something about this time of year that never gets old.
The days start getting a little longer, the weather slowly begins to turn, and baseball fans everywhere know exactly what that means — spring training is right around the corner. The 2026 MLB season is almost here, and I can honestly say I’m as excited as I’ve ever been.
We’re only a few short weeks away from spring training games, where hope is fresh, rosters are taking shape, and every team believes this could be their year. Before we know it, the crack of the bat and the pop of the glove will be back as part of our daily routine.
And then there’s Opening Day — March 27th.
There is no day on the sports calendar quite like Opening Day. It doesn’t matter what happened last season or how the winter went — Opening Day is a clean slate. It’s optimism, tradition, and pure baseball joy all wrapped into one. From the first pitch to the last out, it feels like a holiday to me every single year.
Why the Braves Make This Season Even More Exciting
Anyone who knows me knows this already — the Atlanta Braves are my team.
Being a Braves fan means expecting excellence, trusting the organization, and loving a brand of baseball that blends power, pitching, and grit. Year after year, the Braves find a way to compete, and heading into 2026, there’s every reason to believe they’ll be right back in the mix.
From a strong core of proven stars to the next wave of young talent ready to make their mark, the Braves continue to be one of the most exciting teams in baseball to watch. Truist Park has become one of the best atmospheres in the game, and Braves Country stretches far beyond Atlanta — including right here where I’m cheering them on every night in Lexington, KY.
The Best Time of the Year Is Almost Here
As a lifelong baseball guy, the start of the MLB season always brings back memories — playing days, road trips, long summers at the ballpark, and the simple joy of the game itself. Baseball has a way of connecting generations, creating routines, and giving us something to look forward to almost every day.
So here’s to spring training. Here’s to Opening Day. And here’s to another season of great baseball.
March 27th can’t get here fast enough — and Go Braves. ⚾🔥
