I love google. Google will tell you almost anything you want to know. So I am doing my normal day to day paperwork and I think to myself "How many days until opening day?" Just ask Google. In seconds I found out that Baseball's Winter meetings are December 5-8 and the first two games on next years regular season are on Sunday April 2, 2017. The Yankees will visit the Tampa Bay Rays and the Giants will play in Phoenix vs the Diamondbacks. (both games times to be determined) The next question I asked google was how many days is it until April 2nd. Boom! Date calculator appeared. 150 days. Wow that was simple. Not to be out done Google has alternative time units as well

So anyway, congrats to the Cubs! Lord knows they have waited long enough. Game 7 was so fun to watch. Rajai Davis was almost the (curse of the goat and Steve Bartman) all rolled into one. What a crazy game. As for the Indians, thanks for the amazing year and for not quitting last night and remember "there's always next year". The players, the coaches, the media and the fans were on a hyper coaster of emotion. Maybe the best game 7 ever.
Happy and sad the Series is over. Happy because we now have a new World Champion, albeit was't the Indians. Sad that it marks the beginning of the off season. I know the players need to rest. The season is long and it takes its toll on the body. Bumps and bruises, sore arms and legs and all the other ailments that ball players get over 162 game season. Its going to be tough to wait 150 days for it to begin again. But like every year the time off is good. It makes us appreciate the game when we do have it in the late spring and summer. Get your rest fellas, the baseball world wants an encore after last night.
