Whew! Tuesday morning before work I weighed in like I try to do every morning. Wednesday before Thanksgiving I weighed in again. So then we leave to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Richmond Virginia. I don't weigh in for 4 days. What a mistake! 4 days later I'm +10 pounds. Sheesh! I know that I'm not the only holiday pig in the world. It only took 4 days, unchecked to put that weight on and it will take two weeks to get it off. Are you kidding me. What a terrible joke.
I am so jealous of all the kids that work out at Champions. I remember when I was a high school and college baseball player and everyone told me you have to put on some weight. Shoot I tell kids that same thing all the time. Get bigger, get stronger, get faster...go eat something! Young baseball players can eat whatever they want whenever they want. Putting on weight then was almost as hard as taking weight off now. As a baseball coach I want to put all up and coming baseball players on the Steak and Cake diet. Plenty of protein and carbs for strength and weight. Now I need to be on the under 1500 calorie per day diet. I did it before but it isn't very fun.
If Kryptonite is Superman's weakness then my weakness is breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why can't there just be a food group that tastes like cake with the calorie / carbohydrate volume of water. C'mon science people get it done. I want to eat like I am still 17 years old. I know that I'm not the only one. Well, I guess until there is great tasting, fat free, low calorie everything its back to the calorie counting and the treadmill. Yuck!
Try to keep moving...that's what we have to do...don't be sedentary. Go and move around some...like now! Good luck with your calorie balance...I know I need it.
